Doctors v Butterworth Jones – Match abandoned
This was altogether a sad event.
Firstly, a problem with the location of the key meant we were 30 something
minutes late in getting into the pavilion. The opposition batted first and were 30 something for nothing
after 4 overs when the heavens opened. Twice we came off and returned,
but it was no good, and so, in a sodden mood, we trudged home.
The Fixtures Secretary was asked by the opposition to mention to the
groundsman the number of holes (rabbit) there are in the playing area and
especially on the wicket. He said he would. |
